We were hoping that if you could attend that you would premiere your piece "Boogie Train to Palmerston" [from Making Tracks] that evening? There will be a time for teachers and students to get autographs from composers like yourself, as well as the popular Trade Show and reception. It will be a great time of celebrating Canadian composers with teachers and students. Thank you! Ms. Tenley Dyck, CNCM May 28, 2006 Dear Fishel, Sincerely, June 1, 2006 Greetings Fishel, Thanks so much for your time. Pauline Horst June 7, 2006 Dear Mr.Pustilnik, June 12,2006 Hello there, Thank you, Caroline Renaud, Port Elgin June 18, 2006 Hello Fishel, I had a look at your website and was super impressed (though not surprised). You are doing wonderful work! Thank you very much for sharing your music with me and for taking an interest in mine, I appreciate it a lot. I am going to be away for the summer but will be online from time to time. It would be great to be in touch. Keep me updated on your fabulous developments! Take care, Karine Rashkovsky H.B. Sc., B.Ed., M.Ed., PhD.(cand.) June 27, 2006 Hi Fishel, I would like you to listen to a few songs i composed a while ago and tell me what you think These songs are not jazz, they are in a style of medieval music I composed them because i was planning to use them in a video game that i'm making. I would like to hear your opinion about them and maybe give me some advice on how to arrange my own compositions professionally. Thanks a lot. Daniel. July 10, 2006 Dear Sir I have purchased volumes 2 & 3 of Jazz & Pop Piano Paradise. On the back covers reads a statement about Grades3 to 8 pieces contained in the book. I am currently taking my Grade 7 piano and would like to know which pieces(titles) are appropriate for this level. Also, as part of my exam, I need information on the composer, Mr.F. Pustilnik. Any help on these topics would be much appreciated. Thanking you in advance, Blayze Tkachuk (age 15 ) April 10,2007 Dear Fishel, Aloha! Many thanks!! I love your music, so are my students!! In fact, six of them are already practicing your pieces to perform at our upcoming June Annual Recital!! I would have ordered much more books and have much more of my students practicing your pieces if it wasn’t that majority of them have to get their piano exam pieces ready 1st end of May!! I will do that around July, OK? Best,
Winnie, Honolulu, HI April 19, 2007 Dear Fishel, Tried to download the picture of you and Oscar but it would only print in black and white and Oscar came out great but you did not show up on the black and white print because you are almost white all over. Thanks Susan Foster June 7, 2007 Hello
Dear Fishel,
June 10, 2007 Hi Fishel I approached you at Summer Sizzle and wondered if you would mark a few compositions for our local Music Week Festival. This year our theme for the Festival is Ontario composers. Some students will be performing repertoire from your Piano Paradise Volumes. We are really trying to keep our composition classes at the Festival however this category does not have many participants. October 9 is the registration deadline and I would be better able to give you an exact number of entries after that date. I'm going to guess and say there might be around 6 entries. They are not advanced students and most if not all compositions will be 12 bars. Our Festival is Friday November 16, 2007 in Palmerston. We would be grateful if you could do this for us this year, if you have time. Looking forward to hearing from you. Thank you. April Martin Palmerston Canada Music Week Festival Registrar September 27, 2007 Hi Fishel It looks like I have 18 compositions this year, which is a big surprise as last year we only had 2. I was hoping to get at least 6. We are hoping you will still be able to adjudicate the compositions. Thank you so much for your time, the students are always very excited to have their compositions adjudicated by a Canadian Composer. Thank you. April Martin and the teachers of The Palmerston Canada Music Week Festival Committee. October 11, 2007 Hey!! I am playing "A Man of Moods" at my Grade 8 performance exam in June and I was wondering if it would not be too much trouble if you could send me some information about what you are currently doing in music so that I could include that in my write ups!! Thanks so much!! ~*Grace*~ P.S. Man of Moods is an AMAZING song!!!! It is my favourite!!! June 2, 2008
